MEET THE TEAM
Thomas Gordon-Colebrooke
Captain

As Captain, Tom oversees player development, organises fixtures and tournaments, leads tactics sessions, and facilitates off-field training sessions for our teams. He has 16 years of experience in polo and likes to share his passion for the game with new members whenever possible, giving taster groups their first lesson in hitting the ball. Out of the saddle, he is studying for a DPhil in Social Anthropology at Green Templeton College.

Ayaka Shinozaki
Secretary

Ayaka is pursuing a DPhil in hyperpolarised MRI to image metabolic diseases. As an award winning software engineer, she coded professionally for three years at an AI startup before coming to Oxford. She played her first chukka at the Autumn Nationals this past November and is hooked on playing polo ever since! She is also a cox for the Wolfson college boat club and likes to climb/boulder socially. As OUPC secretary, Ayaka organises communication in the committee, supports the chairman's role, and manages the Club email account, the Weekly Email, the membership database, and meeting minutes.
Anthony Del Rio
Polo Manager

As Polo Manager,Anthony liaises with the coaches to organise lessons during term-time for all skill-levels, and coordinates taster sessions. A retired US Navy SEAL and Harvard grad, Anthony is a two time SUPA National Champion and makes use of his leadership experience as a Pod Leader in the club. Off the field, he trains Mixed Martial Arts and is pursuing a DPhil in Archaeology at St Cross College.

Camilla Hyslop
Chairman

As Chair, Camilla helps with the smooth running of the committee. Some of her happiest memories in Oxford have been with OUPC so she hopes to ensure that others have the same experience. When not playing polo, Camilla is trying to stop climate change (as part of a DPhil in Geography and the Environment) or is out on the river with her college boat club (yeah Worcester!).
Cadence Webley
Press and Social Media Officer

As Press and Social Media Officer, Cadence handles the social media pages, as well as the club’s website. She also liaises with Press contacts for the club’s publicity. New to Oxford this year, she was eager to join the club to build on her previous polo experience, having been playing the sport for a year before joining OUPC.

Yurim Park
Stash and Sponsorship Officer

Yurim is a DPhil student in medical science. She loves anything involving horses. She was introduced to polo less than a year ago and she has been really enjoying the sports. As stash and sponsorship officer, she will work with the Chairman and treasurer in managing the sponsors, which includes organising and promoting the annual stash order and sourcing and contacting additional sponsors and donors.
Bérénice Sylverain
Social Secretary

Bérénice graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York and is a current Marshall Scholar at Oxford University, St Peter’s College. She is pursuing an MSc in Latin American Studies with a focus on Haïtian politics and diplomacy. Bérénice has always adored horses and the polo sport since a small child as a result of her love for the Maharajahs and Maharanis of India who themselves were avid polo players. Her primary responsibilities include organising and overseeing all social events and engagements for the club.

George Tebbutt
Treasurer

As Treasurer, George handles anything money-related and plays a crucial role in managing the club’s finances. Having been riding horses all his life, polo is one of his many equestrian talents! He is currently studying for a DPhil in Materials at Trinity College.
